Ariel led the development of Empathic Inquiry at the Oregon Primary Care Association from 2017-2021.
Empathic Inquiry offers guidance on patient-centered social needs screening, drawing on motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and extensive stakeholder input from both patients and professionals.
We worked with collaborators at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute to evaluate the Empathic Inquiry Learning Collaborative and summarize the results.
