Removing Barriers to Care: Voices of Lived Experience

System Transformation | Health Communications

SUMMARY

Rapid Engagement was a community behavioral health system change initiative facilitated by the Association of Oregon Community Mental Health Programs, in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority, from 2020-2024.

With the goal of  making it easier, faster, and more user-friendly to get started with services in community behavioral health settings, Rapid Engagement included a learning community, implementation pilot, policy change, and mixed-methods evaluation.   Ariel led the initiative from 2021-2024.

Prior to the launch of the Rapid Engagement implementation pilot, we collected input from consumers and members of the peer workforce about their experiences getting started with community behavioral health services.
